PREVENT DISPERSION OF DUST!

  • INHALATION
    		• Burning sensation. Cough.
    		Ventilation (not if powder). Avoid inhalation of fine dust and mist.
    		Fresh air, rest.
  • SKIN
    		• Redness.
    		Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
    		Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap.
  • EYES
    		• Redness. Pain.
    		Safety goggles or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
    		First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
    		• Burning sensation. Cough. Nausea.
    		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.
    		Refer for medical attention.
    SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
    Do NOT wash away into sewer. Sweep spilled substance into containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place (extra personal protection: P2 filter respirator for harmful particles).
    		Separated from food and feedstuffs.

    PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
     COLOURLESS CRYSTALS OR WHITE POWDER , WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR.

    PHYSICAL DANGERS:

    CHEMICAL DANGERS:
     The substance decomposes on heating producing nitrogen oxides (see ICSC # 0067, ICSC # 0930) and hydrogen chloride (see ICSC #0163). Reacts with strong bases. Attacks mild steel.

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
     TLV: ppm; 10 mg/m3 (as TWA) (ACGIH 1993-1994).


    		ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
     The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
     Evaporation at 20░C is negligible; a nuisance-causing concentration of airborne particles can, however, be reached quickly on spraying or when dispersed, especially if powdered.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
     The substance irritates the eyes, the skin and the respiratory tract.

    EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
     The substance may have effects on the liver.

         		The substance is toxic to aquatic organisms. This substance may be hazardous to the environment; special attention should be given to soil, water organisms. Avoid release to the environment in circumstances different to normal use.
